Bubbles

Maddy has loved bubbles since her grandmother "MiMi" introduced her to them months ago. She loves to say "buboows . . . buboows!"

About a week ago I let her have a sip of my Sprite - probably the first carbonated thing she's tasted - and her face squinched up, she smiled and said "buboows!" Somehow she knew that the strange feeling in her mouth was caused by bubbles. I was so impressed that she was able to correlate something she could taste and not see with something she had seen and never tasted.
